Ohio’s unemployment rate shot up to 5.5%, from 5% the month before according to an article that states Ohio GOP blog says economy is rebouding but the statistics show otherwise.
Unless there is something missing here, no way can trucking jobs be outsourced, so they should be safe, right? Here is an interesting article about outsourcing and why trade matters that says every year we lose a few more types of jobs - and everyone always thinks their job is safe. I don’t think any of our jobs are really “safe”.
Truck driving jobs however along with any job that must physically be done here can’t really be outsourced in the sence “they must physically be done here in the US”. Of course it’s always possible for people from other countries to be brought in, but that’s another story.

In Ohio you will need to pay the following amounts in cdl fees for the different parts of testing.
A) Test for pre-trip inspection - $10
B) Test for off-road maneuvering - $10
C) Test for on-road part of testing - $30
There are basically three types of CDL licenses available in Ohio. They are Class A, Class B, and Class C.
A common place to find CDL training is from a truck driving school. There are many places offering CDL training in Ohio that you should be able to talk to about your needs and interests.

According to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles you need to be at least 18 years old. Now if you want to earn your cdl to become an over-the-road truck driver you most likely need to be at least 21 years old.
